In the Ontario math curriculum, coding begins in Grade 1. For these learners, computing concepts and tools are used to solve problems, automate tasks, visualize data, or simulate events through writing and executing code and reading and altering existing code. In one example, secondary students CONNECT and collaborate in creating a robot and competing in a district competition.
Students curiously TAKE NOTICE while learning new concepts and KEEP LEARNING with peers to collaboratively solve problems.
