Partnering with Child Care Operators
We are pleased to partner with licensed Child Care operators across our district. These operators provide several types of care options in many of DSB1 schools.

Extended Day Programs for Full Day Kindergarten Students
The Extended Day program is a Child Care program that operates under the framework of the Education Act (s.259). The Extended Day program is optional to families and is provided by third party Child Care operators for a fee.
Before and After School Child Care Programs
Before and After School Child Care programs are offered by licensed Child Care providers for a fee determined by them.
The viability of Extended Day programs is determined by third-party operations through an annual parent survey. You may access this survey by clicking on this link or by asking your child’s school for a paper copy and submit directly to the school.
Full Day Child Care Programs
Full-day Child Care centres, operated by licensed Child Care organizations, are hosted within a few DSB1 schools. Please refer to the above table.
